Although Pierre Ambroise Francois Choderios de LaClos (1741-1803) originally said, so eloquently in his native French, in his 1782 book Les Liasons Dangereuses: "La vengeance est un plat qui se mange froid," we have managed to reduce the beauty and true meaning of the words to a simpler form that we roughly translated into "revenge is a dish best served cold!" Yet, if you have ever thought, and plotted, and planned sweet revenge, you can truly appreciate Monsieur Choderios de LaClos' words -- "La vengeance est un plat qui se mange froid."
